Recently Re-Edited and Re-ReleasedIn commemeration of the invention of the steam locomotive by Richard Trevithick in 1804, the West Sussex Record Office in conjunction with the South East Film & Video Archive have produced this compilation of Southern Steam. It features archive film of steam operation in Southern England.
Footage Includes:
Hove Station in 1897, Pulburough to Petersfield in the 1930's and '50s, Selsey Tramway c.1930, The Great Marquess in Chichester in 1967, Isle of Wight in the early '60s, Kemptown and Preston Park Boxes in the '60s, The Hayling Island Branch in 1963, and the last days of steam at Waterloo in '66.
