The Kent & East Sussex Railway |
Hugh Nighingale, the author of this book, has been taking pictures of the Kent & East Sussex Railway for around thirty years. This attractive volume embraces all aspects of this typical rural line, once part of the light railway empire of Holman F. Stephens for whom ramshackle seemed to be a way of life.
There are photographs of the line's own locomotives, visiting engines and the interesting range of carriages and goods wagons. If you haven't been there yet, this book will make you want to trek to Tenterden.
