This is one of five cards published by Jonathan Clay, using his own paintings. He is an Associate Member of the Guild of Railway Artists and this large format card (8x6 inches) shows 75027, one of several British Railways standard locomotives in our shed.

The standards, which were both tank and tender engines, were designed and built after World War II to replace many elderly locomtives still in use at the time. They were staightforward, simple locomotives in various sizes for every kind of railway work.
