Making Tracks Progrrames 1 & 2 (DVD)
Making Tracks was, for its time, unique. Initially shown by the BBC, it introduced viewers to railways from around the world. Presented by Bob Symes, it aimed to satisfy both experts and the general public; the inclusion of Mary-Jean Hasler as co-presenter helped to open up the subject to a female audience.
These first two programmes include working steam in Poland, the Colorado Snowplough, the Great Central Railway and the Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway.
