The Bluebell Years 3 (DVD)
This third edtion of our newsreel is a retrospective view of what went on at the Bluebell in 2007. The major celebration was Bluebell 125, marking 125 years since the Lewes and East Grinstead Railway was opened which features resurrections of the prime sponsor, the Earl of Sheffield, and the contractor Joseph Firbank.
Also covered is the launch of the four car Metropolitan set after a restoration which took 16 years; the Giants of Steam event including intriguing footage of Wadebridge being loaded ready for its journey to Sheffield Park; a look behind the scenes of the S&T in which one of our signalmen describes his work and an interview with renowned animal and railway artist David Shepherd.
