The Tiverton Museum Railway Collection
The Tiverton Museum of Mid Devon Life houses, among other things, a former GWR locomotive that operated in the area and also the notebook used by the engineer responsible for building the Exe Valley Railway. Within its covers are a series of drawings and contemporary notes never available before to the historian.
Amyas Crump, a GWR devotee, has brought this material to life and added further examples of plans, photographs and documents from the museum and other private collections. This book is a valuable contribution to the social history of the area.
