Just Like the Real Thing

Pete Waterman is already well-known as a leading railway preservationist but his enthusiasm for reproducing the real thing in miniature is, perhaps, less celebrated.

In this large format book, he describes in some detail the construction of an 0 gauge model of Leamington Spa station with much advice on all aspects of modelling - engines, stock, track, signals and scenery.

It was not a one-man project - there was a team of experienced modellers involved, most of them members of the Manchester Model Railway Club. Constructing the model took four years and progress is shown in detail in a series of fine colour photographs.
