Peter's Railway

This is more than just a story book for children. In addition to the tale of the construction of a miniature railway, the book contains useful information about railways, presented in an easily understood form.

There are notes on cuttings and embankments, track, couplings and the inner workings of engines. Christopher Vine is an engineer by profession and he writes entertainingly and without condescension.
