The video studies the Bluebell Railway's history from the construction of the London Brighton and South Coast Railway's East Grinstead to Lewes line in 1882 to its closure in the 1950s and its development into one of the country's leading preserved railways.

A close look is taken at the stations at Sheffield Park and Horsted Keynes and the immense effort involved in relaying the line from West Hoathly to Kingscote.
